POWER ON COIN

Hi friends,
This is our latest project, worked out by myself, saravana and rajesh. Since the last projects are only circuit level, this time we want to go some what forward and we got interest in embedded system.so, we took coin charger as a project using 8051.
The project focuses on suppling power of 230V ac for the predetermined time which can be very well used for the domestic application like battery charging, mobile phone charging, and utilization of electronic gadgets. This setup can be made handy and kept on the streets for the usage like the coin phones.
we worked nearly for a month in it, we developed 250 lines of asm coding for it and we presented it in our inter college symposium and blackened 1st prize for it...
and here is the project for you...(for the coding contact me at alagappan1989@gmail.com)
Power on Coin
In recent days the usage of technology is inevitably seen in all forms of application. The emergence of new techniques in vlsi and corresponding improvement in embedded systems has opened the fled gates of electronics. The growth of embedded system in india has increased exponentially since last two years, the field has greater potential in the forthcoming years. Having this on mind we have taken our project on preliminary stage of circuit implementation using embedded system.
The project focuses on suppling power of 230V ac for the predetermined time which can be very well used for the domestic application like battery charging, mobile phone charging, and utilization of electronic gadgets. Block Diagram

The circuit operates with the power supply of 5V DC. The circuit consists of a simple and powerful IR transmitter and the IR receiver. When the coin is applied to the circuit which is designed in such a way to cut the transmitter, the triggering is applied to the interrupt pin of microcontroller. Here we use external interrupt 1.
The microprocessor computes the triggering signal and depending upon the programming of the controller it generates the time delay which is here 120 seconds. This is the time duration of the availability of power to the load circuit. During these 120 seconds the relay coil gets the supply voltage of 12V to its coil, there by latching the output circuit. After 120 seconds the circuit automatically turns off.
An LCD display is interfaced with the microcontroller to show the coin count and the remaining time from the dropping of the coin. The circuit also has an additional feature that is on incrementing the coin the time delay generated is proportionately increased.

25 YEARS OLD .COM

HI,
can one say me,how many you use .com in your life time?
can one say me,i don't know what .com is?
here a amazing fact about it....
last march 15th, our .com celebrated its 25th birthday... i express my belated wishes to .COM....

In 1985 mar 15, the first website named symbolics.com was registered... but at that time very few people aware of it... it is not published in any media...but today more than 80 million domains are been registered...Yet, some of the most popular websites today were registered late into the .com era. Youtube.com, for example, wasn't registered until 2005. Twitter.com was also registered after the .com boom.

In 1985, after registering symbolics.com... next site was registered after one month and less than 100 sites were registered in a year...but according to-days survey nearly 6 lakhs sites have been registered every day...

While Symbolics the company didn't fare well, symbolics.com remains as the oldest .com and was purchased by Aron Meystedt, owner of XF.com in 2009.

SEISMIC SENSOR

Hi,
This is the second project i did along with my friend saravana. But first to present.Since we had one more weak for the project show. We tried this and we presented it.It is very simple, cheaper and attractive one with wide range of application. we displayed it on the breadboard, because we are not good at soldering and the most beautiful thing in this project is that we got third prize in the intra college competition..
here is that for you....

SEISMIC SENSOR

Our project is to detect the entry of human beings or animals in the restricted areas in banks, museums, hospitals, power plants, etc.
Here, we make use of piezo element to vibration due to the entry of human beings or animals. This piezo will sense the entry of unwanted person or animals and trigger the JFET op-amp and this op-amp will in turn trigger the Timer IC which output is given to the LED and buzzer. So LED glow with the sound to intimate the entry of unwanted persons or animals in the restricted areas.

FIRE ALARM

Hi friends,
This is our first mini project, worked out by myself and my friends saravana pandian , Rajesh.,FIRE ALARM.It is a very simple circuit. This project taught us the most important thing in life that there is a huge gap between the theory we learn and what happens in practical life.we faced so many difficulties to make this circuit work which helped us to learn more, and this gave us the interest to go more practically. But we didn't present it because we had one more weak to go. so, we tried seismic sensor and we presented it.
Here is our first work....

FIRE ALARAM

Fire accidents can be prevented if timely alarms are available. The circuit presented here warns the user against such fire accidents. The circuit should be placed in fire-prone areas such as a kitchen. Everyone is aware that when anything catches fire, smoke is produced. When this smoke passes between a bulb and an LDR, the amount of light falling on the LDR decreases. This causes the resistance of LDR to increase and the voltage at pin 2 of IC 555 goes below 1/3 Vcc, thus triggering IC 555 which is used here in bistable mode. As a result the voltage of pin 3 goes high. This high voltage (approximately +9V) completes the supply to the COB (chip-on-board). The signal generated by COB is amplified by an audio amplifier. In this circuit, the audio power amplifier is wired around IC TDA 2002. The sensitivity of the circuit depends on the distance between bulb and LDR as well as setting of preset VR1. Thus by placing the bulb and the LDR at appropriate distances, one may vary preset VR1 to get optimum sensitivity. Reset switch S1 is provided in the circuit to switch off the alarm after the fire has been noticed by the user.

MYSELF

Hi friends,

Myself ALAGAPPAN, i'm doing 3rd yr ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING in SETHU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

Out of my own interest, i have taken ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION as my major in engineering. where ever you go, you can see electronic and you need the communication. More over today no one can say a place without electronics and living without any communication is highly impossible, even now,i too cannot share my
ideas over here. when ever you need advancement in any field, the first option will be switching to electronics.Microprocessor & controller are rocking this world. This is what made me to like electronics more and now you would have got why i have given MY ELECTRONIC LIFE as the title to this blog.

Coming to my family, my dad is a business man, mom is home maker and brother is doing 10th now.

My living town is madurai, a very beautiful place. It has many more nice names like temple city, sleepless city and so on.. Because you can see at least a temple in each street and  famous MEENAKSHI AMMAN TEMPLE is here, you can see
people working even full night. Madurai is also very famous for jasmine flower. It has more tourist place like Meenakshi amman temple, Gandhi museum, Thirumalai nayakar mahal, so on....

Then I'm interested in chatting with my friends on any topic, since they are the beautiful part of everyone's life, I have no words say how necessary is friendship. everyone knows it,hope every one feels like me.

I like to gain knowledge, so I use to read and when ever I get chance to speak with special people, I wont let them go before getting answers for all my questions(doubts). Speaking with people and getting knowledge through chats are better than gaining knowledge through books because we can easily clear all our doubts.

And I like to try things practically what ever I have learnt as theory. Because when we start working out something practically beyond our syllabus, we will learn more and we wont forget easily.

Then i have created this blog to improve myself, learn more things and to gain knowledge.. Friends,as i said to improve myself... pls comment on all my post, at least a word... say what ever you feel... because that will make me to improve...pls... Pls send your ideas, share you views on these post of this blog ....

BLUE EYES TECHNOLOGY

This is my first paper.. with my friend saravana pandian.. We just want to learn and do something.. Fortunately we got this topic and we took seminar on this topic in VELAMMAL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY,madurai.. I'm saying it as seminar because we understood the concept and we explained it there,we didn't add anything new to it..
Everyone there were interested to listen this because it goes like a HOLLYWOOD scene....
HERE IS THAT SCENE FOR YOU... GO AHEAD...

BLUE EYES TECHNOLOGY
Can we make computers "see" and "feel"?
Is it possible to create a computer which can interact with us as we interact with each other? For example imagine in a fine morning you walk on to your computer room and switch on your computer, and then it tells you “hey friend, good morning you seem to be a bad mood today. And then it opens your mail box and plays your favorable songs and tries to cheer you. It seems to be a fiction, but it will be the life in the near future. We all have some perceptual abilities. That is we can understand each other’s feelings. For example we can understand ones emotional state by analyzing his facial expression. If we add these perceptual abilities of human to computers would enable computers to work together with human beings as intimate partners. The “BLUE EYES” technology aims at creating computational machines that have perceptual and sensory ability like those of human beings.
This is achieved using the facial recognition, eye gaze pointing, speech recognition and other sensors
Principle behind the blue eyes
In order to create such a smart computer, the computer must understand user’s emotions and interest without giving any manual information from the user describing his emotional state or interested.
1. To achieve this we use the facial recognition and other physiological measure to detect the user’s emotional state.
2. To detect the user’s interest and to make the users pointing work easier, we go for MAGIC eye pointing technique.
3. To give the ability for the smart computer to understand the user’s language and perform operation as per his speech, we add speech recognition alone with emotion and magic technique.
Application
Ø Generic control rooms(system can be applied in every working environment requiring permanent operator’s attention)
o power station
o Captain Bridge
o Flight control centers
o Operating theatres-anesthesiologists
Ø The Simple User Interest Tracker (SUITOR)
Ø Blue Eyes can be applied in the automobile industry
Ø Video games
Future application of blue eye technology is limitless.
This ensures a convenient way of simplifying life by providing more interactive and user friendly facilities in computing device. In near futures, ordinary house hold device-such as television, refrigerators and ovens may be able to do their jobs when we look at them and speak to them.
